A Cold Blade At Night
In the darkness of the night
A blade slinks in the darkness
Hoping to end the travesty
Of society
A raised and poisoned dagger
Seeking to land the lethal blow
Over an unprotected jugular
Consequences
Couldn’t seem further
For suffering was already
On the platter
Why such a disparity?
Why such difference?
We are all human.
Why does status…
Why does class matter?
Why is one’s birth
Such a significant matter?
Why is wealth
Such a determining factor?
Why does more or less
Make one superior to another?
One plunge
Could make it all better.
A single motion
To have all the fears shattered
Yet,
Over the figure
His hand wavered,
His heart pausing to wonder
Was this really the correct
Solution to this matter?
