An Interested Observer
Her heart,
A mountainous terrain,
As unforgiving
As the other ancient extrudes
That he’d once scaled
All the same
A challenge
That fascinated him
More than it deterred him.
A professional mountaineer,
The heights and ridges
Only served to draw him in.
He grinned,
Despite her efforts
To step away
Regardless of the obstacles
She put his way,
He’d stay.
He’d scale whatever heights
She had to offer
For nothing,
Could deter this resolved climber
