Dolphins
Cautiously,
Like a bird
First trying its wings
A toe
Slowly submerges
Into a bright blue
As other pass,
Swimming by,
With skilled strokes
Moving forward,
Looking so beautiful
And so majestic
Enough to leave
An unprepared onlooker
Breathless
Captured by
The view
That continues
To hold true
No matter
How many times
The splashes
Have bade adieu
Turning into ripples,
And leaving nothing,
But a simple
Calming blue
There’s just
Something magical
About seeing them
Fly free
In their home,
And toward the
Deep inner sea
Wondering,
If their group
Will one day
Include me
Wondering
I, too,
Could one day
Belong to the sea
