My Mother And Home
From the shelter
That she offers
From the bountiful food
That she shares
A smile spreads
Across my lips
As I lay in her welcoming arms,
Knowing that in her warm hands,
I am home.
Across her luscious body,
I roam,
Trusting her to provide for me.
Lost,
I become
In her sweet scents
Knowing that in her loving grace,
She could never
Bear to charge rent
Lovingly,
I watch her,
Transfixed,
By her transcendental beauty
Her lush greens,
Her ever present blues
And I’m sure that nothing can compare
Her beauty and kindness unparalleled
For nothing could ever replace
My lovely Mother Earth
