Once Again, Seeing the Spring Festivities
Looking up,
I catch sight
Of those lanterns
Floating in the night sky.
Their bright glows,
Such a contrast
Against the deep blacks
Up above.
Contentment washes over me,
A smile
Comes to my lips.
As I watch them
Float so gracefully.
So beautiful.
So breathtaking.
Then,
Gratefully,
I turn back
To face you.
Just in time to see
You smile back at me.
I take your hand,
Into mine,
Silently thanking thee,
For recovering
My ability to see.
